This strategy is a ‘manager of managers.’ Each day, it looks across several aggressive trading playbooks and picks the one that has been working best lately. Those playbooks mainly trade tech, semiconductor, and biotech funds—often leveraged ones for bigger moves. If the market looks too hot, it may bet on a pullback using fear/volatility funds. If stocks look beaten up, it may buy the dip. It also checks bonds, interest rates, and market stress to decide when to be aggressive, defensive, or bearish.

Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
