About

A daily, tactical switcher: hedge euphoric rallies with UVXY, buy sharp tech/S&P dips with 3x bulls, retreat to short‑term Treasuries in fast selloffs, short long bonds when rates rise, and otherwise use a bond vs short‑Nasdaq regime filter to pick TQQQ, PSQ, or cash.
NutHow it works
Daily it hunts extremes. If indexes/sectors look “too hot” (10‑day RSI ~80; a speedometer of recent gains), it buys UVXY (jumps when fear/vol spikes). If washed‑out (RSI ~30), it buys 3x bull funds TQQQ/TECL/SOXL/SPXL. If QQQ drops >6% fast, it hides in BSV/SHV (short‑term Treasuries). It also flips to TMV (3x short long bonds) when Treasuries are weak. Final fallback: a regime check (IEF vs PSQ) picks TQQQ, PSQ (short Nasdaq), or cash. KMLM = managed‑futures trend ETF.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy shows superior risk-adjusted gains vs the S&P: Sharpe ~0.92 vs ~0.90, annualized return ~45.8% vs 17.1%, and positive alpha ~0.20. Calmar ~1.79. Expect higher drawdowns (~25.6% vs 18.8%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
