About

An active bond strategy that rides big moves in long‑term U.S. Treasuries. It flips between leveraged long (TMF), leveraged short (TMV), or safer holdings (cash-like bonds, gold, dollar, defensive hedges) based on trend and overbought/oversold signals.
NutHow it works
Two sleeves. 60% trades the direction of long-term U.S. Treasuries using simple trend and “hot/cold” readings: buy 3x long (TMF) in uptrends or on dips, 3x short (TMV) when stretched the other way, or hide in cash-like bonds or hedges (gold, dollar, defensive stocks). 40% holds plain Treasuries when bonds beat cash; otherwise tilts to USD or 3x bond trades.
CheckmarkValue prop
Diversified bond-trend strategy designed to protect capital and reduce drawdowns when rates move, offering risk-off hedges (USD, gold, inverse ETFs) and a smaller out-of-sample drawdown than SPY, helping portfolio resilience even when equities struggle.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
