About

A dynamic, rule-based strategy that combines leveraged equity bets (SPXL, TQQQ, SOXL) with volatility hedges (UVXY, SVXY, SQQQ) and cash buffers to chase gains in up markets while trying to limit losses in downturns; it rotates between Bull, Bear, and Extreme Volatility states using momentum and price signals.
NutHow it works
In plain terms, the system watches for market states and volatility signals, then tilts between two main modes: - Bullish mode: pile into leveraged stock bets (SPXL, TQQQ, SOXL) to capture upside of a rising market. - Bearish/defensive mode: reduce risk with hedges (UVXY, SVXY, SQQQ) and cash-like buffers, to limit downside. A separate Extreme Volatility Hedge layer aggressively buys UVXY when volatility surges. The rules are nested: within each mode, it weighs momentum (how strong assets are) and price trends (moving averages, current price) to pick which ETFs to own and how much. The result is a dynamic, multi-ETF mix that shifts as signals change, aiming to ride uptrends and defend against sharp drops.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample shows stronger risk-adjusted gains vs the S&P: ~45.7% annualized return, Sharpe ~1.25, Calmar ~1.83, and alpha ~0.15. Hedged, dynamic bets seek upside while aiming to cap losses—though drawdowns can be larger.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
