About

Daily, rules-based swing between tech (VGT) on deep dips and defensive hedges (VIXY + EUM/BTAL) when markets look hot. Trend filters can flip to short tech (PSQ) or cash-like T‑Bills (BIL). Aims for high growth with layered downside defenses.
NutHow it works
It uses simple “hot/cold” gauges and trend lines. When stocks look washed‑out, it buys VGT (big U.S. tech). When markets look overheated, it hedges with VIXY (fear index), plus EUM (short EM) and BTAL (defensive). If trend sours, it can short tech (PSQ) or hold T‑Bills (BIL). EUM/BTAL are sized by recent steadiness. Rebalances daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets ~68% return vs SPY ~24%, with Sharpe ~2.52 (vs 2.11) and Calmar ~6.43. It uses disciplined hedging and trend bets to capture tech upside while limiting losses—stronger risk-adjusted growth than the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
