About

A daily, rules-driven tech strategy: try to own VGT (big U.S. tech) after pullbacks in an uptrend, but go defensive—VIXY, EUM/BTAL—or short via PSQ when markets look overheated or the trend turns down.
NutHow it works
Each day it reads many “heat” gauges (RSI = 0–100 momentum score; high=overheated, low=washed‑out) on big indexes/sectors. If things look too hot, it parks in hedges: VIXY (volatility), plus EUM (short emerging markets) and BTAL (market‑neutral), sized by recent calmness. If the trend is healthy and markets just dipped, it buys VGT (big U.S. tech). If the trend breaks, it flips to PSQ (short Nasdaq) or BIL (T‑bills).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, the strategy delivers superior risk-adjusted growth vs the S&P: Calmar ~6.1, Sharpe ~2.20, negative beta, and much higher annualized return. A rules-based tech tilt plus hedges target tech gains while limiting drawdowns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
