This strategy checks the market every day and usually wants to own VGT, a fund focused on big U.S. tech companies like Apple, Microsoft, and Nvidia. But if the market looks overheated, weak, or panicky, it quickly switches into defense: funds that rise when the Nasdaq falls (PSQ), products tied to market fear (VXX/VIXY/UVXY), or very short-term Treasury bills (BIL). It uses simple “temperature checks” on recent price moves: very high readings mean “too hot,” very low readings mean “possibly oversold.”
