About

A daily, rules‑driven switch: ride tech in uptrends (QLD), go defensive in downtrends with shorts (PSQ/QID), Treasuries, or T‑Bills. Uses Tech vs KMLM as a stress check and an RSI oversold test to sometimes step aside or play quick rebounds.
NutHow it works
Daily, it first asks: is the S&P 500 (SPY) above its 200‑day average (an uptrend)? - Uptrend: mostly hold 2x Nasdaq (QLD). If very short‑term conditions flip, it compares Tech (XLK) vs a managed‑futures barometer (KMLM): if Tech is stronger, stay in QLD; if not, sit in T‑Bills (BIL). - Downtrend: go defensive—short Nasdaq (PSQ/QID) or own Treasuries (TLT/IEF/AGG). On sharp selloffs (RSI, a recent‑moves score, very low) it may try brief rebound buys (TECL/SPXL).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy delivers ~100% annualized return vs SPY ~51%, with a Calmar of 6.59 indicating strong risk-adjusted upside. It rides tech in uptrends and hedges in downturns for superior growth vs the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
