A market-timing strategy that goes hard into mega-cap tech when the biggest Nasdaq names are leading, and otherwise shifts to either defensive assets or a milder stock mix based on short-term Treasury yields.

The strategy first asks: are the biggest Nasdaq stocks doing better than the average Nasdaq stock over the last month? It checks this by comparing QQQ (dominated by giants like Apple, Microsoft, and Nvidia) with QQQE (the same index, but evenly split). If the giants are leading, it goes aggressive: Microsoft, Apple, Nvidia, plus two funds that amplify Nasdaq moves (QLD and TQQQ). If not, it looks at BIL, a very short-term Treasury fund, as a simple read on the interest-rate backdrop. If cash yields have been fairly high, it shifts defensive into gold, T-bills, inflation-protected bonds, and a strong-U.S.-dollar fund. If not, it uses a milder mix of dividend stocks, the S&P 500, and T-bills.

Out-of-sample Sharpe 1.37 vs 1.28; annualized return 38.3% vs 20.3%; Calmar 2.12; max drawdown ~18%. Higher risk-adjusted upside with a similar downside. Leverages mega-cap tech rallies while rotating defensively when rates rise.
