About

Simple daily momentum when the market is rising; partial defense when it’s weak. Picks the top 2 recent winners among GME, EBAY, NVDA, AMD, and SPY, or shifts to 70% SPY/30% TLT. Aims to beat SPY with clear rules and limited holdings.
NutHow it works
Each day the strategy checks SPY (S&P 500 ETF) over the last 20 trading days. If SPY is up: buy the 2 with the best 7‑day gains from GME (GameStop), EBAY (eBay), NVDA (Nvidia), AMD (Advanced Micro Devices), and SPY, split 50/50. If SPY is down: hold 70% SPY and 30% TLT (long‑term U.S. Treasury bond ETF). Rebalance daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample tests show this strategy often beats SPY in up markets by capturing short-term momentum in top picks, while using a 70/30 SPY/TLT hedge in down markets—delivering stronger risk-adjusted returns and downside protection vs SPY.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
