About

Daily, keep 30% in cash and rotate the other 70%: if the S&P 500 looks overheated, buy VIXY (volatility hedge). Otherwise own QQQ when credit risk-taking is healthy, or TLT when it isn’t.
NutHow it works
Each day it moves 70% of the portfolio and leaves 30% in cash. RSI is a 0–100 score of how hot/cold recent price moves are. 1) If the S&P 500’s RSI > 70 (too hot), buy VIXY, which tends to rise when markets get jumpy. 2) Otherwise: if high‑yield bonds look steady vs tech’s short‑term heat, hold QQQ; if not, hold TLT (long Treasuries).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample Sharpe 0.81 and Calmar 0.93 show a disciplined, risk-adjusted edge. While raw return trails SPY, the 30% cash plus VIXY/QQQ/TLT rotation delivers steadier gains and balanced downside control in volatile markets.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
