About

When big tech trends up, own 15 of the strongest names from a high‑beta stock list; when it doesn’t, move 100% into a single defensive bond/staples/utilities/health care ETF chosen by short‑term weakness. Equal‑weight in stocks; checks and rebalances daily.
NutHow it works
Each day, it checks if QQQ (a big‑tech index fund) is above its 50‑day average price (an uptrend). If yes: from a preset list of ~24 volatile, growth/cyclical stocks (many chips, industrials, energy), it buys the 15 with the highest RSI (a 2‑week “up‑vs‑down pressure” score), equal‑weighted. If not: it puts 100% into one defensive ETF (bonds/staples/utilities/health care) with the lowest short‑term RSI (most oversold). Rebalances daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample tests show this strategy often beats the S&P 500 by riding tech-led uptrends with a 15-stock high-beta basket, and by moving to a single defensive ETF during pullbacks to curtail drawdowns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
