Step 2: If no spike, pick among: (a) a calm “sideways” blend (quality stocks, income via JEPI, low‑vol bonds), (b) a risk‑on/off allocator guided by bond trends and interest‑rate direction, and (c) a trend/mean‑reversion sleeve that flips between owning or shorting Nasdaq (TQQQ/QLD/PSQ/SQQQ) using simple trend and “hot/cold” checks.
