About

A rules‑based, crash‑aware strategy. It uses a volatility alarm and bond trends to flip between defense (cash‑like Treasuries, USD, commodities, and selective shorts) and offense (US stocks, sometimes via 2–3x funds), with quality/low‑vol tilts and income. K‑1 free.
NutHow it works
It watches a fear gauge (VIXM) and rate trends (BND/TLT). When fear spikes, it shifts to safety: T‑bills/short Treasuries (BIL/SHY), a market‑neutral fund (BTAL), broad commodities (PDBC, no K‑1), a strong‑USD fund (USDU), and selective shorts (SQQQ/SOXS). When calm, it tilts to growth: US stocks (sometimes 2–3x via TQQQ/UPRO) blended with quality/low‑vol (QUAL/MTUM/SPLV) and income (JEPI). Simple trend lines and a 0–100 “speed” meter (RSI) time entries, fades, or cash.
CheckmarkValue prop
Compelling value: Crash-aware, K-1 free, regime-switching strategy. Out-of-sample: ~16% annualized return, ~18.9% max drawdown, Calmar ~0.85, Sharpe ~1.23, beta ~0.70— strong risk-adjusted growth with lower market sensitivity vs the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
