About

Two-fund, high-risk plan: 55% UPRO (3x S&P 500) + 45% TMF (3x long-term Treasuries), rebalanced quarterly. Seeks high growth by pairing stock upside with a bond cushion and shifting profits between them.
NutHow it works
Hold 55% UPRO and 45% TMF. UPRO aims for about 3x the S&P 500’s daily move (the 500 biggest U.S. companies). TMF aims for about 3x the move of 20+ year U.S. Treasury bonds. These two funds are used because they give simple 3x exposure. Every 3 months, reset to 55/45. Stocks fuel growth; long bonds often rise when stocks fall; rebalancing moves gains into the laggard.
CheckmarkValue prop
Similar long-run returns to SPY (~21%/yr) with a built-in risk hedge: quarterly rebalancing between 3x equity and 3x long-duration Treasuries. Diversifies risk and can help in shocks; note higher drawdowns and beta require tolerance.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
