This strategy checks the market’s “weather” every day. If U.S. stocks look healthy, it leans into stock funds—often tech, chip stocks, or even extra-aggressive stock funds. If conditions weaken, it shifts toward defense: gold, consumer staples, a strong-U.S.-dollar fund, commodities, or a hedging fund (BTAL). It makes these calls using simple ideas like whether prices are above long-term averages and whether recent performance looks strong or weak.
