About

A barbelled, tech-tilted plan: 75% defensive (Treasuries and staples), 25% actively flips between leveraged tech, dip-buys, and hedges/shorts using a 200-day trend filter, short-term RSI, and recent return triggers.
NutHow it works
75% stays in calmer stuff: mid-term US Treasuries (IEI) and Consumer Staples stocks (XLP). The other 25% is tactical. It checks trend (is the S&P 500 above its 200-day average?) and short-term heat/cold (RSI, a gauge of how overbought/oversold prices are). In uptrends it rides tech (TQQQ/TECL), but if things look too hot it briefly hedges with fear ETFs (UVXY/VIXY) or long Treasuries (TMF). In downtrends it buys big dips or switches to inverse QQQ (PSQ/SQQQ).
CheckmarkValue prop
Balanced core strategy with lower beta and robust risk control. OOS drawdown ~18.0% vs SPY ~18.8%; OOS return ~21.2% vs 22.5%; OOS Sharpe ~1.26 vs 1.41; Calmar ~1.18—delivers solid risk-adjusted gains and selective tech upside with less market risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
