About

Uses TLT (Treasuries) as a market gauge to rotate daily among: 3x tech plus 3x long Treasuries and a hedged S&P mix; or 3x short Treasuries plus 3x Dow; or a 75% tilt to the best recent performer (25% cash). Heavy use of triple‑leveraged ETFs; high risk.
NutHow it works
Daily it checks TLT (long‑term US Treasury bonds). If TLT is above its 150‑day average, split equally across 3x tech (TECL/TQQQ/SOXL), 3x long Treasuries (TMF), and a hedged S&P fund (PHDG). If TLT is below its 23‑day average, split between 3x short Treasuries (TMV) and 3x Dow (UDOW). Otherwise, put 75% into the top 30‑day performer from TMF, UPRO (3x S&P), TMV, MOAT, BRK/B, USMV; keep 25% cash. Triple‑leveraged funds are very volatile.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~26.7% annualized vs ~23.6% for the S&P, driven by macro-timed tech/bond tilts and hedged equity. Higher upside in trends, but larger drawdowns and volatility than the S&P—best for risk-tolerant growth seekers.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
