About

Daily, it reads TLT (Treasury bonds) to gauge risk. Strong TLT: move into 3x tech/semis plus 3x bonds and a hedge. Weak TLT: 3x short bonds + 3x Dow. In‑between: 75% goes to the recent 30‑day winner from a small stock/bond list. Very high risk.
NutHow it works
It uses TLT (long‑term US Treasury bonds) as a market thermometer. If TLT is above its 150‑day average (avg price over 150 days), it splits equally into TECL (3x tech), TQQQ (3x Nasdaq‑100), SOXL (3x semis), TMF (3x long Treasuries) and PHDG (downside‑hedged stocks). If TLT is below its 23‑day avg, it splits into TMV (3x short Treasuries) and UDOW (3x Dow). Otherwise, it puts 75% in the 30‑day top performer among TMF, UPRO (3x S&P 500), TMV, MOAT, BRK/B (Berkshire), or USMV; rest in cash. Rebalanced daily; very high risk.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample upside: 27.36% annualized return vs 23.19% S&P. Regime-driven tilts to tech/semis and bonds with a hedge aim for big gains in clear trends. Expect higher drawdowns (~41%) but potential for premium upside and diversification.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
