About

A daily trend‑following, hedged rotation that shifts between leveraged tech/semis, Treasuries (long or inverse), and quality/hedged equity based on moving‑average signals and 30‑day momentum. Very aggressive due to 3x ETFs.
NutHow it works
Each day it uses moving averages (average of last X days) to judge trends. If TLT is above its 150‑day avg and SPY above 200‑day, split across 3x tech/semis (TECL, TQQQ, SOXL), 3x Treasuries (TMF), and a downside‑hedged fund (PHDG). If TLT above 150‑day but SPY below, hold TLT. If TLT ≤ 150‑day and also below 23‑day, split TMV (3x inverse Treasuries) and UDOW (3x Dow). Otherwise, 75% goes to the best 30‑day performer (TMF, UPRO, TMV, MOAT, BRK.B, USMV); 25% cash.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets higher growth than the S&P: ~31.4% annualized vs ~23.2%, via a trend-following, diversified mix of leveraged tech/semis, Treasuries, and hedges. Higher upside with larger drawdowns (~34%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
