A fast-moving stock-and-bond timing strategy that uses market trends to switch between aggressive 3x tech funds, Treasury bond funds, hedged stocks, and defensive positions.

This strategy checks two big market clues each day: the trend in the overall U.S. stock market (using SPY) and the trend in long-term U.S. Treasury bonds (using TLT). If conditions look strong, it spreads money across aggressive 3x tech stock funds, a 3x bond fund, and a hedged stock fund. If conditions weaken, it moves into safer long-term bonds, bets against bonds, or picks the single asset that has been strongest lately.

Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
