About

A rules-based, offense + defense portfolio: ~30% rides strong trends (mostly tech) with tightly-gated leveraged ETFs; ~70% sits in an adaptive Treasury/volatility hedge. It adds protection when markets look overheated and may short in downturns.
NutHow it works
Think of it as offense + defense, run by rules. - It checks trend lines (moving averages = a price “trend” line) and a 0–100 heat meter (RSI: high = overheated, low = washed out). - In uptrends it rides tech using leveraged funds (TQQQ/TECL/UPRO) and, when calm, sells volatility (SVXY). If prices look too hot, it buys protection (VIXY) or Treasuries (TLT/TMF) or uses BTAL. - In weak trends it shifts to cash‑like bonds (BIL/SHV), inverse funds (PSQ/SQQQ/SH), and sometimes gold/silver/commodities. - A big (~70%) bond module flips between long Treasuries (TMF) and short Treasuries (TMV).
CheckmarkValue prop
Rule-driven offense+defense strategy aimed at higher upside with solid risk control. OOS return ~24.8% vs SPY ~18.2%; Calmar ~1; hedges help limit drawdowns, though declines can exceed the S&P in rough markets.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
