If tech looks washed out, it often buys QQQ (big Nasdaq stocks). If the market looks overheated, it often buys volatility funds like VXX as a hedge. When conditions look risky, it shifts to safer or defensive holdings like SHV, TLT, PSQ, or BTAL. It spreads money across several versions of this logic and favors the ones that have been holding up best recently.
