About

A daily, rules-based, 50/50 split between a tech-heavy stock engine and a gold timer. It buys volatility when markets look overheated, buys 3x tech/semis on dips or in uptrends, shorts Nasdaq in downtrends, and toggles 2x long/short gold.
NutHow it works
Each day it splits money between: 1) a stock/volatility engine and 2) a gold timer. First, it asks if big indexes/sectors look overheated (RSI = a 0–100 strength score). If yes, it buys volatility funds (UVXY/VIXY) which jump when stocks fall. If not, it uses volatility and trend to: buy 3x bulls (TQQQ, SOXL, TECL, UPRO), short the Nasdaq (PSQ/SQQQ), or hold defensive picks (UGE or a bond ETF). Separately it switches between 2x long gold (UGL) and 2x short gold (GLL). High risk.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe ~2.49 vs S&P ~2.37, beta ~0.40, and Calmar ~7.94. A disciplined, diversified mix of tech/volatility and gold seeks higher risk-adjusted upside with meaningful downside protection; though drawdowns can be larger.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
