About

A tactical, multi‑asset portfolio that rides tech uptrends, buys dips selectively, and rotates into bonds, gold, staples and the US dollar when risk rises. It uses some leveraged ETFs (e.g., TQQQ/QLD, TMF/TMV) and a small crash hedge (UVXY) to react quickly.
NutHow it works
It splits the portfolio into three parts: Growth (40%), Yield (35%), Preservation (25%). Growth rides big tech (QQQ via 2–3x funds) when trends are calm/up, buys sharp dips, or shifts to safety (short Treasuries, gold, staples, US dollar) when volatility spikes. Yield tactically rotates among Treasuries (sometimes 3x bull/bear), corporates and cash based on rate trend/volatility. Preservation holds gold and the current top performers (stocks, bonds, dollar or cash).

Out-of-sample edge: 26.5% annualized return vs SPY 23.0%, Sharpe 1.87 vs 1.44, max drawdown 9.18% vs 18.76%, Calmar 2.89. Diversified, trend-following with risk controls aims for tech upside and smaller losses.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
