About

Daily, contrarian‑at‑extremes strategy: hedges with volatility (UVXY + defensive EUM/BTAL) when markets are overheated; buys 3x tech/Nasdaq/S&P on deep dips; otherwise rotates via trend filters among 3x longs, short QQQ, or T‑bills. Very aggressive.
NutHow it works
Each day it reads a 0–100 “speedometer” (RSI) on big indexes/sectors. If markets look very hot, it bets on a pullback: mostly UVXY (volatility) plus EUM (short EM) and BTAL (anti‑beta). If very cold, it buys the dip with 3x funds—TECL (tech), TQQQ (Nasdaq), UPRO (S&P)—sized by recent volatility. Otherwise, simple trend checks choose between those 3x longs, short QQQ (PSQ), or T‑bills (BIL). Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Value: Rule-based contrarian/trend strategy that outperforms the S&P in OOS tests: ~36.5% annualized vs ~16.8%, Sharpe ~0.81, Calmar ~0.92. Higher drawdowns (~39.6%) but volatility hedges + 3x longs aim for durable upside.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
