About

A daily, rules‑based “risk‑on/risk‑off” blend. It rides 3x tech/semis in uptrends, buys deep dips, and switches to volatility hedges, shorts, Treasuries, or cash when stress hits. Adds diversifiers (managed futures KMLM, EM, gold). Very high risk and turnover.
NutHow it works
It’s a daily rule‑set that flips between “risk‑on” and “risk‑off.” - 200‑day average marks the long‑term trend (above = uptrend). - A simple “hot/cold” meter (RSI): many up days = hot; many down days = cold. In uptrends it rides 3x growth funds (TQQQ/TECL/SOXL). If things get too hot, it briefly hedges with a volatility fund (UVXY). In downtrends or big dips, it buys the dip or switches to shorts (SQQQ/SOXS), Treasuries (TLT/TMF), or cash (BIL). Side sleeves trade Emerging Markets (EDC/EDZ), a diversifier (KMLM, which often zigzags opposite stocks), and a gold sleeve (UGL vs GDXD). Sizing across sleeves reflects recent volatility.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: risk-on/risk-off, multi-sleeve strategy delivers far stronger risk-adjusted growth than SPY: ~239.6% vs 108.9% annualized, Sharpe ~11.26, Calmar ~418, and negative beta ~-2.57, with built-in hedges.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
