About

A fast, rules-based trader that uses the S&P 500’s trend and short-term moves to flip between 3x tech bulls, inverse stock ETFs, Treasuries, the U.S. dollar, commodities, gold, and a volatility hedge.
NutHow it works
First it checks the S&P 500’s long-term trend. If weak, it trades short-term: after sharp drops it favors inverse ETFs (SPXS/TECS/SOXS/SQQQ = 3x short S&P/tech/semis) or UUP (U.S. dollar); otherwise it buys beaten-down TECL/TQQQ/SOXL (3x tech/Nasdaq/semis). If strong, it mainly holds those 3x bulls plus TMF (3x long Treasuries), and briefly hedges with UVXY (volatility) when tech overheats. Otherwise it picks the most oversold from EFA/EEM (foreign), TLT (Treasuries), GLD (gold), DBC (commodities).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return ~26.5% vs SPY ~23.6%, driven by regime-switching across leveraged tech, inverses, Treasuries and hedges. Higher upside but larger drawdowns (max ~61%), offering stronger growth potential with more risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
