About

Switches between regular gold (GLD) and a 3× leveraged gold note (SHNY): use leverage when gold is oversold or trending up; fall back to GLD when conditions are neutral/weak. Aims to boost favorable moves while reducing leverage in choppy periods.
NutHow it works
It watches GLD (a large gold fund) over the last 10 trading days. If RSI—a gauge of how stretched recent moves are—is below 30 (gold looks oversold), it buys SHNY, a note aiming for 3× gold’s daily move. Else, if GLD is up vs 10 days ago, it also buys SHNY to ride momentum. Otherwise it holds GLD. It only switches when these signals change.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
