About

A daily, rules‑based “risk meter” that uses transports vs the market to time offense (leveraged tech) vs defense (T‑Bills/hedges). It adds crash “airbags” (UVXY), adapts when bonds are weak, and can use managed futures. High‑risk; seeks strong upside with drawdown control.
NutHow it works
Starts with a traffic‑light: if transportation stocks (IYT) lag the market (SPY), it parks in T‑Bills (BIL). If they lead, it goes risk‑on: mainly leveraged tech/growth (TQQQ, TECL, SOXL). A 0–100 “heat” gauge (RSI) adds short‑term airbags (UVXY) when things overheat and buys dips when cold. In sharp drops it shifts to cash, hedges (SQQQ/SOXS, TMV) or managed futures (DBMF), and avoids bonds when they’re weak. Uses 200/20‑day trends; rebalances daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Outperforms SPY on risk-adjusted returns: oos return ~30% vs ~19%, Sharpe ~1.12 vs ~1.08, with crash hedges and dynamic risk-on/off. A trend-following, managed-futures approach aims bigger upside with controlled drawdowns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
