About

Aggressive, tech-heavy, daily strategy. In calm markets it owns 5 strong mega-cap tech names; in fearful markets it flips to timing a 3x Nasdaq ETF, cash, bonds, or volatility hedges. Uses simple hot/cold trend signals and rebalances every day.
NutHow it works
Each day it first checks market “fear” (VIXM). If fear is high, it times TQQQ (3x Nasdaq): buy it on deep sell-offs or clear uptrends; otherwise sit in cash (BIL/SHV) or volatility hedges (VIXY/UVXY) and diversifiers (BTAL). If fear is not high, it picks 5 big tech names with the strongest recent moves. For each, hold the stock only if its short-term trend is up and macro guards are supportive; otherwise park in cash plus a bull (TECL) or bear (TECS) tech ETF. Rebalances daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe 1.30 vs 1.21; annualized return 65% vs 21%; alpha ~0.28; Calmar ~2.11. Higher risk-adjusted gains than the S&P; expect larger drawdowns in downturns but significantly bigger upside.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
