About

A daily, one‑ETF rotation. It reads QQQ’s trend and an oversold gauge (RSI) to buy tech (QQQ/XLK) on bounces; otherwise it rotates into the most beaten‑down defensive choice (bonds, staples, or utilities), with SPY bought on sharp market dips.
NutHow it works
Daily it holds one fund. Trend test: if QQQ’s 10‑day avg > its 100‑day avg, trend is up; otherwise down. RSI is a 0–100 gauge of recent moves; below ~30 = oversold. Uptrend: if QQQ is oversold, buy XLK (tech); else buy the most oversold defensive fund (bonds: BSV, TLT, SPAB, VBF; sectors: XLP staples, XLU utilities). Downtrend: if SPY is oversold, buy SPY; else if QQQ > 20‑day avg buy QQQ; else use the same defensive pick.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe ~7, Calmar ~86, annualized return ~122%, max drawdown ~1.4% vs SPY ~2.5%. A disciplined tech/defensive rotation delivers higher, more stable gains with less downside than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
