A daily market-timing strategy that rotates between very aggressive leveraged stock funds and safer bond/defensive-sector funds based on trend and oversold signals.
NutHow it works
This strategy makes one all-in choice each day. It first checks whether tech stocks look strong by comparing TQQQ’s short-term trend to its long-term trend. If tech looks strong and has just dropped hard, it buys TECL, a very aggressive tech fund. Otherwise, it shifts to one defensive fund—bonds, utilities, or consumer staples—that has recently fallen the most. If tech does not look strong, it checks whether the overall U.S. stock market looks extremely beaten down. If yes, it buys UPRO, a very aggressive S&P 500 fund, hoping for a rebound. If not, but TQQQ is back above its recent average, it buys TQQQ. Otherwise, it again hides in the most beaten-down defensive fund.

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
