A market-timing strategy that rotates between U.S. stocks and safer assets. It prefers stocks when the market is calm, shifts defensive when markets get rough, and even switches between mild, 2x, and 3x stock exposure.

This strategy keeps asking one question: should it be in U.S. stocks or in safer assets? It watches the S&P 500 (SPY). If the market has been calm enough, it may buy stocks—sometimes normal stocks (SPY), sometimes 2x (SSO) or 3x (UPRO) boosted versions. If the market looks too jumpy, it moves to safety: short-term Treasury bonds (SHY) or a defensive mix of the U.S. dollar (UUP), gold (GLD), and consumer-staples stocks (XLP). It runs many versions of this test using different time windows, then picks the version that has been working best lately.
