About

Rotates among leveraged stock funds and safe assets. In calm markets it buys the most “oversold” of 3x S&P, 3x Tech, or short Treasuries. In rough markets it buys sharp dips or holds a defensive mix; when stable, it runs a 55/45 UPRO/TQQQ+TMF blend.
NutHow it works
Goal: ride trends, buy big dips, and hide in safe assets when markets get rough. Calm markets (SPY’s 21‑day swings small): buy the single fund with the lowest RSI (a score of up vs down days; low = recently beaten up) from UPRO=3x S&P 500, TECL=3x Tech, or SHY=short Treasuries. Choppy: if SPY is >10% off its high, buy 5‑day drops via TQQQ/UPRO, unless that 3x fund just jumped >5% in a day—then use a safety mix: UUP (US dollar), GLD (gold), XLP (consumer‑staples). If drawdowns are small, use a growth mix: ~55% UPRO+TQQQ (risk‑balanced) + 45% TMF (3x long Treasuries). Signals are smoothed by blending 1% and 2% “calm” cutoffs.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: about 38.7% annualized return vs SPY’s 22.9%, with risk controls (Calmar ~0.74) and regime-driven hedges. It leverages dip-buying in calm markets and defensive shifts in turbulence for bigger upside with structured protection.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
