An aggressive, dip-buying strategy that chases oversold U.S. stock funds when markets are calm, and shifts to defensive assets or a stocks-plus-bonds mix when markets get rough.

This strategy splits money into two equal halves and asks the same question with two different strictness levels: “Is the stock market calm enough to buy a dip?” If yes, it buys whichever looks most beaten-down among: a 3x S&P 500 fund (UPRO), a 3x technology fund (TECL), or short-term Treasury bonds (SHY). It judges “beaten-down” with RSI, a short-term stress meter where lower means recently sold hard. If markets are too jumpy, it switches to backup plans. In rough markets, it only buys sharp pullbacks in the Nasdaq or S&P 500; otherwise it hides in a defensive mix of the U.S. dollar, gold, and consumer staples. In healthier markets, it uses an aggressive mix of leveraged U.S. stocks plus leveraged long-term Treasury bonds, but moves defensive if stocks start sliding.

Out-of-sample shows higher growth: about 24.2% annually vs S&P's 21.5%, with adaptive dips-and-defense bets. Captures bigger upside in calm markets while rotating to safer assets in turbulence—balanced by higher volatility and drawdowns.
