About

A daily “fund surfing” strategy: buy dips in leveraged stock funds during uptrends, shift to a dollar/gold hedge when markets are shaky, and use inverse funds or short‑term bonds in downtrends. Decisions use trend checks and a simple strength score (RSI).
NutHow it works
Daily, it asks: Is SPY above its 200‑day average? If yes, buy the most “oversold” of TQQQ/SPXL (3x bullish stock funds) or SHY (short‑term Treasuries) using a 0–100 strength score (RSI; low = recently fell). If not, but TQQQ is very weak, still buy that dip. Else hold a defensive mix of UUP (US dollar) and GLD (gold). In clear downtrends, pick the strongest of SQQQ/SPXS (3x inverse stock funds) or BSV (short‑term bonds).
CheckmarkValue prop
High upside, disciplined risk. Out-of-sample annualized return ~53% vs SPY ~23%, Sharpe ~1.13 vs ~1.36, Calmar ~1.16. Dynamic hedges (gold/USD) plus dip-buying in leveraged ETFs. Drawdowns can be steeper (~46%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
