About
A daily, defensive dip-buying strategy: hide in short-term Treasuries when market fear spikes, and only buy a 3x leveraged big-tech fund after the Nasdaq-100 has dropped hard.
This strategy checks the market every day.
1) If market fear is surging, it moves to BIL, a very short-term Treasury fund that behaves a lot like cash.
2) If fear is not surging, it looks at QQQ (a fund based on big tech-heavy stocks like Apple, Microsoft, and Nvidia). If QQQ has fallen hard lately, it buys TECL, a fund that tries to magnify moves in big tech stocks by about 3x.
3) Otherwise, it stays in BIL.
Out-of-sample: ~32% annualized return vs SPY ~26%, drawdown ~5.8% vs ~8.9%, Calmar ~5.5. It stays in cash during fear, then buys 3x tech after dips—seeking higher growth with lower downside than the S&P 500.
