About

A daily, risk‑on/risk‑off system: keep most cash in T‑bills, take small, volatility‑weighted bets in leveraged tech/S&P when conditions are good, and hedge with VIX, inverse Nasdaq, or long Treasuries when markets look hot or weak.
NutHow it works
Each day it asks: Is the S&P 500 (SPY) above its 200‑day average (long‑term uptrend)? If yes, keep most money in T‑bills (SHV) and add a small slice of TQQQ (3x Nasdaq)—unless the market looks “too hot” on a 0–100 heat gauge (RSI), then switch to UVXY (VIX) + T‑bills. If SPY is below trend, still sit mostly in T‑bills; take small bounce trades in TECL/UPRO when “washed out,” or else pick either long Treasuries (TLT) or bearish Nasdaq (SQQQ) based on short‑term strength. Each position is sized to risk about 1% of the portfolio. Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe 1.32 vs SPY 1.10, annualized return 24.64% vs 19.58%, max drawdown 14.59% vs 18.76%, beta ~0.61. Daily rebalancing with hedges delivers higher risk-adjusted growth and steadier drawdowns than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
