About

Rules-based, daily strategy that flips between riding strong uptrends (often 3x tech/S&P) and hedging or shorting in stress. Uses trend (200‑day), RSI ‘hot/cold’, and commodity trends, plus KMLM to choose tech vs defensive.
NutHow it works
Daily: - Regime: SPY above its 200‑day average = risk‑on; below = risk‑off. - Risk‑on: ride leaders (often 3x tech or 3x S&P). If RSI—a 0–100 gauge of recent ups vs downs—shows >~80 (overheated), hedge with UVXY+BTAL; if <~30 (washed out), buy dips. If commodities trend up, tilt to gold/oil/silver/grains. - Risk‑off: mostly short the Nasdaq; may trade bounces when bonds are strong. KMLM (managed‑futures) guides tech vs steadier FTLS/KMLM/UUP. Uses leveraged/vol ETFs—high risk.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy delivers higher risk-adjusted upside vs the S&P: 77% vs 27%, Sharpe 1.86, Calmar 4.59, with dynamic risk-on/off and trend/commodity signals for tech-led gains and stress protection.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
