A fast-moving strategy that tries to ride strong uptrends, but switches to hedges, volatility bets, commodities, bonds, or bearish funds when markets look weak or overheated.

This strategy is a very active market-timing system. It first asks: is the U.S. stock market healthy or weak? In healthy markets, it chases the strongest areas like tech, semiconductors, and other fast-rising sectors. In weak or overheated markets, it quickly shifts into defensive or panic-related holdings such as volatility funds, hedges, bonds, commodities, or market-short funds. It uses a few simple ideas: recent trend, how fast prices have risen or fallen, and which assets have been acting strongest. It also compares growth assets to defensive ones to decide whether to be aggressive or cautious.

Out-of-sample: ~92.5% annualized return vs SPY ~20.8%, with Calmar 2.63 and Sharpe 1.54. Dynamic hedging (volatility, bonds, commodities) aims to ride strong trends while protecting on downturns—though drawdowns can reach ~35%.
