About

A daily, risk-on/risk-off switcher using trend and short-term “heat” to rotate among 3x bulls (TQQQ/UPRO/TECL), 3x inverse (SQQQ), Treasuries (TLT), or volatility (UVXY). Seeks offense in uptrends and defense—or a volatility pop—when conditions worsen. Very high risk.
NutHow it works
First asks if SPY is above its 200‑day average (a long‑term trend line). If yes: usually own the stronger of TQQQ (3x Nasdaq) or UPRO (3x S&P) by recent gains; but if short‑term “heat” is extreme (10‑day RSI, a 0–100 hot/cold gauge), switch to UVXY (volatility spike fund). If SPY is below: buy TECL (3x tech) if tech looks washed out; otherwise hold whichever is stronger between SQQQ (3x short Nasdaq) and TLT (Treasuries). Rebalances daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy delivers higher risk-adjusted returns against the S&P (Sharpe ~1.12 vs ~0.89) and strong upside (~70% annualized) with Calmar ~1.56. It's tactical and levered—suited for risk-tolerant investors; expect larger drawdowns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
