About

A daily tactical strategy that treats shipping (BDRY) as a canary, buys volatility when stocks look too hot, goes inverse in sell‑offs, and otherwise rides the strongest trends (often leveraged S&P/Nasdaq or commodities) or parks in Treasuries/cash. Very high risk.
NutHow it works
It uses a short‑term “hot/cold” score (RSI: 0–100; high=overheated, low=washed‑out) on major markets. If stocks look overheated, it buys volatility (UVXY) plus a defensive hedge (BTAL). If they look washed‑out, it uses inverse stock funds (e.g., SQQQ). Otherwise a trend engine rides recent leaders (often TQQQ/UPRO/SPXL or DBC/GLD/SLV/USO) when price trends are up, or parks in Treasuries/cash (BIL/BSV/TLT) when trends weaken. BDRY (shipping) is a canary that tilts risk. Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy outperforms the S&P on risk-adjusted terms: Sharpe 1.46 vs 0.93, Calmar 3.68, annualized return ~92% vs ~16%. Uses dynamic trends, hedges, and rotation for higher upside with risk controls (drawdowns possible).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
