About

Uses extreme signals from energy ETFs to decide when to jump into volatility or bearish tech trades; otherwise sits in short‑term T‑bills. High risk when active due to leveraged ETFs; usually defensive until energy flashes an extreme.
NutHow it works
It watches two energy funds for extreme moves. If energy surges or gets very stretched, it briefly flips into high-octane trades: either a bet on market volatility (UVXY) or bearish tech funds (SOXS/SQQQ). On a huge energy drop it may buy bull semis (SOXL). Otherwise it stays in T‑bills (BIL).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy delivers superior risk-adjusted returns and drawdown protection vs the S&P 500: oos Sharpe ~18.9 vs ~1.8, max drawdown under 1% vs ~5%, with cash-like stability most days and energy-driven upside when signals fire.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
