About

Uses big one‑day copper moves as a warning light to swing daily between leveraged tech/stock bets, volatility trades (UVXY/SVXY), or cash (BIL). Buys dips after copper drops; buys volatility after sharp copper rises; otherwise sits in T‑bills.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks copper: COPX (copper miners) and CPER (copper futures). If miners crash (<−8% day), it buys SOXL (triple‑leveraged semiconductors) for a rebound. If miners soar (>+7%), it buys UVXY (a fast‑moving bet on market fear). If futures slump (<−4%), it buys the day’s biggest loser among SVXY (bet on calm), SOXL, TQQQ (3x Nasdaq‑100), or UPRO (3x S&P 500). If futures jump (>+8%), it buys UVXY. Otherwise it holds BIL (T‑bills). Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets 28.5% annualized returns vs 19.3% for the S&P, using copper-driven signals to switch between growth bets, long vol, or cash—delivering higher upside with disciplined risk (Calmar ~1.21).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
