This strategy checks many daily market “mood” tests and takes the first one that passes. Most of the time, it is deciding between three positions: <b>TQQQ</b> (a very aggressive bet on big U.S. tech stocks), <b>SH</b> (a bet that the S&P 500 will fall), or <b>BIL</b> (cash-like Treasury bills). Its main clues are short- and long-term momentum comparisons between broad U.S. stock funds and hotter areas like retail, tech, biotech, semiconductors, China stocks, small caps, and long-term bonds.

Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
