About
A daily on/off strategy that goes 100% into TQQQ only when several defensive market gauges look calm enough; otherwise it hides in BIL cash-like T-bills.
This strategy checks the market every day and asks: “Does it look safe enough to make an aggressive bet on big tech?”
It watches XLP (consumer staples), TLT (long-term U.S. Treasury bonds), and BTAL (a fund that tends to benefit when defensive stocks beat aggressive ones). If defensive assets are not looking too strong and any 1 of 10 warning tests passes, it buys TQQQ, a very aggressive fund tied to the Nasdaq-100. If none pass, it parks in BIL, a T-bill cash-like fund.
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe 3.24 vs SPY 0.65; Calmar 26; annualized OOS return ~126% vs SPY ~6%. It switches to BIL in risk-off, locking in gains, while pursuing Nasdaq upside on calm markets with strict defensive filters.
