About

A daily tactical plan: when markets are “too hot,” buy volatility; when volatility’s hot, hold cash; otherwise buy oversold 3× ETFs for rebounds. If nothing is extreme, park in a steady, lower‑vol stock/defensive mix.
NutHow it works
Each day it reads a 0–100 “heat” score (RSI) for big market funds (SPY, QQQ, etc.). If markets look too hot, it tries to front‑run a pullback by buying VIX funds (UVXY/VIXY/VIXM), which usually rise when stocks fall—scaling from mild to aggressive. If volatility is already hot, it sits in T‑bill cash (BIL). Otherwise it buys sharp dips in fast 3× bull ETFs (TQQQ, SOXL, SPXL, etc.). If no clear dip, it holds steadier names (LLY, NVO, COST, PGR/GE) or sometimes BTAL.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return 22.71% vs 19.16% for the S&P, with a smaller max drawdown (17.65% vs 18.76%) and a Calmar ~1.29. A volatility-timed, dip-buy strategy that targets higher upside while tightening downside risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
