If yes, it moves into a defensive mix built around VIXY (which tends to rise when market fear jumps), long-term Treasury bonds (TLT), and BTAL (a fund that tends to favor steadier stocks over high-octane ones). 2) If markets are not overheated, is the environment bullish or bearish? It then rotates among growth stocks like QQQ/XLK, defense like TLT, cash-like BIL, hedges like PSQ, and safe havens like gold or utilities.
