About

A fast/slow “four corners” switch. Quick tech extremes flip to TECL (oversold) or VIXY (overbought). Otherwise, Growth vs Defense (QQQ vs VPU) and Risk‑On vs Cash (CORP vs BIL) pick one ETF: TQQQ (bull), BTAL/TQQQ (hedge), VWO (defensive), or PSQ (bear).
NutHow it works
First, quick checks on tech momentum using RSI (a 0–100 gauge of recent buying vs selling; <30 = oversold, >70 = overheated). If QQQ is oversold, buy TECL (3x tech). If overheated, buy VIXY (volatility). Otherwise, two dials decide: QQQ (Nasdaq‑100) vs VPU (utilities) for Growth vs Defense, and CORP (corp bonds) vs BIL (T‑bills) for Risk‑On vs Cash. The four outcomes pick one ETF: Bull=TQQQ; Growth+Credit weak=BTAL or TQQQ; Defense+Credit strong=VWO; Defense+Credit weak=PSQ (short QQQ).

Out-of-sample: ~25.1% annualized vs S&P 19.5%, Calmar ~0.94 over 605 days. A simple, regime-switching rule-set aiming for bigger upside with built-in hedges; note higher volatility, but improved upside resilience.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
