About

Blends a four‑corner regime model with a bond‑timing sleeve, using RSI and trend to rotate among tech (levered), Treasuries (long/short), gold, and a volatility hedge (UVXY) when stocks look overheated. High risk due to leverage and UVXY.
NutHow it works
Two engines run side by side. 1) Overheated stocks? If a short-term “heat gauge” (RSI, 0–100) says markets are very hot, it buys a crash‑hedge: mostly UVXY (volatility), plus TMF (3x long Treasuries) and GLD (gold). If not hot, it picks a regime: Bull=QLD (2x Nasdaq); Mild Bull=QLD or PSQ (short) + gold; Mild Bear=TMF or QLD; Bear=TMF or PSQ + gold. 2) A bond timer tilts among TMF, TMV (short Treasuries), and at times QLD/SPXL (3x S&P) using TLT’s trend and momentum.

Out-of-sample edge: 17.41% annualized return vs 15.82% S&P, lower drawdown (~18% vs 18.76%), Calmar ~0.97, positive alpha. Dynamic tech/bonds/gold with a volatility hedge aims for higher upside with tighter risk than the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
